Most of the crags in this province are listed below with a brief description, star-rating and a few images. Please note that the images may not do the crag justice. Where the crag-name is linked you should find the online guide as well as more information on the area. Some sport routes in an old quarry. A selection of short sport routes at a farm near the town of Vrede. Just over 30 bolted routes ranging from 12 to 29. A nice crag in the town of Ladybrand. The climbing area is inside the Leliehoek campsite, development has just started and at present there are only 5 routes, good potential for many shorter sport routes on well featured soft sandstone. An excellent crag with good secure facilities and plenty of moderate and easy sport climbing. There is a bit of bouldering here as well. A route guide is available from selected climbing stores and often from the office of Mnt Everest Reserve.
This is a beautiful crag that offers good bouldering and sport climbing inculding long multi-pitch climbs. The area is currently being developed and there is plenty of scope for new development. At present grades vary from 11 to 29 with just over 29 bolted routes and a few projects.
